Privacy Policy
X Proxy Browser · Last updated: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information X Proxy Browser ("the app", "we", "us") handles when you use it on your Android device, and why. The app is a browser with a built-in proxy, an ad blocker, a download manager, a video player, image tools, a speed test, a games library, and an optional Rewards programme that lets signed-in users earn points and take part in weekly contests.
The short version: you can use the browser, proxy, ad blocker, downloader and games without an account, and in that case we collect only diagnostics, usage analytics and advertising data. Rewards needs a Google sign-in and records what you do in the app to award points; that data is described in its own section below.
Using the app without an account
Most of the app works without signing in. In that mode we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. The app may collect:
- Device information — device model, Android version, app version, language, country, a random install identifier, and the advertising ID.
- Diagnostics and crash data — through Firebase Crashlytics, to find and fix crashes (crash logs, error reports, diagnostic information).
- Usage information — through Firebase Analytics and our own analytics service, to understand which features are used: features opened, session duration, app performance, download statistics and browser usage statistics. This is anonymous and our own analytics does not receive your browsing history.
- Advertising data — ad networks may process device identifiers such as the advertising ID to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.
- Remote configuration — on launch the app fetches settings such as which features are on and the current proxy server list. This request carries no personal data beyond your IP address, which is needed to answer it.
Information stored only on your device
- Browsing data — bookmarks, normal-tab history and site settings stay on your device. Private tabs keep no history and no cookies, and their session data is cleared when you close them.
- Downloads — files you download are saved to the folder you choose on your device and are not uploaded to us. The download folder you pick is stored as a setting on the device.
- Video player — playback position, recently played files and playback preferences are stored only on your device.
- Image tools — crop, resize, compress, rotate, flip and background removal run on your device. Images you edit are not uploaded to us. If a feature ever needs a processing service, the image is sent only for that processing and is not kept longer than needed to return the result.
- Converted audio — audio you extract from a video is processed and saved on your device.
- Downloaded games — games you install are stored on your device and run inside the app.
Proxy
When you turn the proxy on, your browser traffic is routed through the proxy server in the country you pick. The server sees the sites you visit in order to relay them; we do not inspect or sell your browsing activity. Limited technical information such as connection status, server region and diagnostics is processed to keep the service working, and proxy availability may vary by location. A proxy is not a VPN: it hides your address from the sites you visit, but it does not encrypt traffic that is not already encrypted. The app shows you which country you are connected to and tells you if the proxy stops working; it never switches you to a direct connection silently.
Ad blocker and speed test
The ad blocker works on your device using filter lists and does not send your browsing history to us. The speed test measures your connection by transferring test data and does not collect the content of your browsing.
Link checker
When you check whether a link is safe, the URL you submit is sent to a security or reputation service such as Google Safe Browsing to evaluate whether it appears malicious. Results are informational only and are not a guarantee that a website is safe.
Games
Games are downloaded from our servers and run inside the app. While you browse the games library, short preview clips and cover images are streamed from our servers, which involves your IP address like any download. If you are signed in to Rewards, the time you actively play is reported to our servers to award points (see below). The games themselves do not receive your account details.
Rewards (optional, requires sign-in)
Rewards is a points programme with weekly and monthly contests. It is optional and needs you to sign in with Google. If you never sign in, nothing in this section applies to you.
Account
- Google account details — when you sign in we receive your Google account's email address, display name and profile picture through Firebase Authentication. These identify your Rewards account and show your name and picture on the leaderboard if you opt in to being visible.
- Device details — to protect the programme against fraud we record a random install identifier, the Android ID, device model, operating system version, app version, whether the device appears to be rooted or an emulator, a Play Integrity result, your time zone, and a hashed form of your IP address. These are used to detect duplicate or automated accounts.
- Country — the country your connection comes from, as reported by our network provider, is recorded when you sign in and refreshed while you use the app. Rewards are available in selected countries only, and this is how the app knows whether they are available to you.
- Invite code — your invite code, and the code of a friend who invited you if you enter one, so referrals can be credited.
- Date of birth — asked for once before you can claim a prize, to confirm you are old enough to receive it. We keep the date you enter.
Activity used to award points
Points are earned by using the app, so while you are signed in the app reports activity to our servers:
- Browsing activity — periods of active browsing, the number of different sites in a session, the search queries you make in the address bar, and the domain names of sites you visit. Queries and domain names are stored encrypted and are used for points, fraud checks, and aggregate statistics about what people search for and visit. Page contents and full page addresses are not sent.
- Downloads — the fact that a download started and a hashed form of its address, so the same file is not paid for twice in a day. The file itself is never uploaded.
- Video watching — how long you watch in the built-in player. What you watch is not sent.
- Game play — which game you played, for how long, and whether you were actively playing. Game scores are not sent.
- Missions, streaks and feature use — which daily missions you completed, your daily streak, and which app features you used.
- Rewarded ads — when you finish watching a rewarded ad, the ad network confirms it to our servers so the bonus can be paid.
Contests, leaderboard and prizes
- Leaderboard — your points and rank are shown to other users. Your display name and picture appear only if you turn on "show me on the leaderboard"; otherwise you appear as "Anonymous Browser". Winners are listed on a Wall of Fame under the same rule.
- Payout details — if you win a prize we ask for what is needed to deliver it, which may include your name, postal address, phone number, UPI ID, and for larger prizes your PAN (tax identifier). These are stored encrypted; staff see only a summary, such as the last four characters of a PAN, unless they need the full value to send your prize.
- Prize codes — voucher codes we send you are stored encrypted until you view them.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device and your notification preferences, including quiet hours. We send only rewards-related messages: streak reminders, mission and prize updates, leaderboard nudges and occasional announcements from us, which may contain a picture and a link. You can switch each type off in the app. Messages are never sent during your quiet hours.
Fraud prevention
We use the device and activity details above to detect automated use, duplicate accounts and other attempts to earn points unfairly. An account that fails these checks may have rewards paused or removed while a person reviews it. Everything else in the app keeps working.
Retention and deletion
- Detailed activity events are kept for about 45 days, then deleted. Points transactions are kept in detail for about 6 months and then summarised by month. Aggregate statistics keep no per-person detail.
- Push tokens are removed when you sign out or turn notifications off.
- You can delete your Rewards account from the Profile screen, or by following the steps on our Delete your account page. Your email and identifiers are removed immediately, your name is replaced with "Deleted user", and the account can no longer earn or claim anything. Records of prizes already paid are kept as long as the law requires.
Advertising
The app shows ads to remain free. Ads are served through Google Ad Manager and AdMob, with mediation to partner networks including AppLovin, Unity Ads, InMobi and DT Exchange (Fyber). These networks may process your advertising ID, IP address, device information and coarse location to serve and measure ads, under their own privacy policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings, and where the law requires it you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. The app records ad impression counts for its own reporting; these are not linked to your browsing.
Third-party services
The app uses these services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Firebase Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging (Google)
- Google Play Integrity and Google Play services
- Google Ad Manager and AdMob, with AppLovin, Unity Ads, InMobi and DT Exchange as mediated networks
- OneSignal, for push notifications
- Google Safe Browsing or similar security services, for the link checker
- Proxy infrastructure providers
- Cloudflare, which fronts our servers and provides the country of your connection
Permissions
Depending on the features you use, the app may ask for these permissions. Each is requested only when the matching feature needs it, and you can revoke any of them in Android Settings.
- Internet and network state — browsing, proxy, downloads, games and Rewards.
- Notifications — download progress and, if you opt in, Rewards messages.
- Photos, videos and storage — saving downloads, listing videos on your device, and opening images in the editor.
- Camera and microphone — only passed through to a website that asks for them in the browser, and only after you allow it.
- Location (approximate and precise) — a website you visit may ask for your location, for example a maps or delivery site. The browser asks you first, and if you allow it, your device's precise location is passed only to that website for that request. It is not stored by the app or sent to us. Ad networks may separately use approximate location for regional ads where you allow it. The app itself does not track your location.
- Advertising ID — for ad networks, see "Advertising" above.
- Battery optimisation exemption — optional, so long downloads and background audio are not stopped by the system.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Prizes are only delivered to users who confirm they are of legal age.
Data security
Requests between the app and our servers are signed and sent over HTTPS. Payout details, tax identifiers, prize codes and the search and site records described above are stored encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information described here.
